How we handle your information

Peak Electrical Contracting Ltd. is a small local company, and we treat your information the way we’d want ours treated. This page explains what we collect through this website, why, and what we do with it. It’s written to comply with BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email, the job address, a description of the work, and any photos you attach. If you phone or email us directly, we keep the normal records of that conversation.
Why we collect it
To respond to you, quote the work, schedule it, do it, and keep proper job records afterward. That’s it. We don’t use your information for marketing lists and we never sell or rent it to anyone.
Where it lives
Quote requests go into our job-management system and to our office email. Our website runs on Netlify, a hosting provider, and submissions pass through their infrastructure on the way to us. Photos you attach are stored with your request. Access is limited to the people at Peak who need it to handle your job.
Job applications
If you apply through the careers section, we collect your name, phone, email, what you’re looking for, where you’re at with your ticket, and anything you write in the message. If you attach a résumé, it’s stored with your application and linked in the email that reaches us. We use it to decide whether to contact you about work, and for nothing else. We don’t share it, and we don’t add applicants to any mailing list. If you’d like your application and résumé deleted, email us and we’ll remove them.
Website analytics
We count page views with our own first-party counter. It records which pages are viewed and which site referred the visit, in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and doesn’t identify or track you. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we don’t count the visit at all.
Spam protection
The quote form uses automated checks to filter spam, and may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to CAPTCHA. Turnstile checks that a submission comes from a real person without tracking you across sites.
Reviews
The reviews shown on this site are public Google reviews, displayed with the reviewer’s first name and last initial as they appear on Google.
How long we keep it
Job records are kept as long as we need them for warranty, safety, tax and business purposes. If you asked for a quote and nothing came of it, we don’t need the details for long and they get cleaned out in the normal course.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we’re not legally required to keep. Email [email protected] or call (250) 216-6200 and we’ll sort it out.
